Alison Allum creates artworks of glass and mixed media, exploiting the allure and fragility of glass as a potent material to capture an essence of womanhood and to produce work with allusions to contemporary feminine themes. Her career as a Theatre Designer has enabled her to make ideas of femininity into portraits with a challenging and amusingly theatrical manner.
